Remember to stop by the Law Library today for Fright Fest! The festivities will run from 12:30-4 pm and will include:

  • The SBA costume contest and lunch sponsored by Bloomberg at 12:30
  • A raffle with exciting prizes such as movie tickets and print credit
  • Informational tables about library services where you can also pick up special treats and raffle tickets
  • A spooky Happy Hour sponsored by Westlaw at 3:30

Fright Fest Is Coming! Mark Your Calendars for Thursday, Oct. 29

Stop by the Law Library this Thursday, Oct. 29 from 12:30-4:00 for our annual Fright Fest extravaganza! The festivities will begin at 12:30 with lunch (sponsored by Bloomberg) and the SBA costume contest. Throughout the afternoon, be sure to stop by the library information tables to pick up some tasty treats and learn about all of the helpful resources available to you through the Law Library, including research help and more. While visiting the tables, be sure to pick up some raffle tickets; prizes include print credit, movie tickets, reserved study carrels, and much more! We’ll also have a Halloween-themed Happy Hour (sponsored by Westlaw) at 3:30 with especially spooky treats!

Lexis Learn

Want to learn how to use Lexis Advance? Wondering how to find statutes and related cases for your brief? Need a refresher on how to find secondary sources? Lexis Learn can help. Lexis Learn is a new interactive learning platform that aims to help students learn and practice basic research techniques. It consists of seven modules, each roughly 10 to 15 minutes in length. The modules are interactive so you practice the skills you’re learning as you watch the accompanying video. Though Lexis Learn focuses on using Lexis Advance, the skills taught are applicable to research in general.

To access Lexis Learn sign into Lexis at http://lexis.com/lawschool. Once you are on the Lexis homepage, select Lexis Learn in the column on the left side of the screen. If you have any questions please contact a reference librarian.
