Be sure to join us in the Law Library on Monday, Oct. 31st from 12:30-4:00 for our annual Fright Fest extravaganza! The festivities will begin at 12:30 with lunch, followed by an SBA costume contest at 1:00 pm. While you’re here, be sure to stop by our informational tables to pick up some tasty treats and learn about all of the helpful resources available to you through the Law Library, including research help and more. There will also be tables with our friends from IS, Westlaw, Lexis and Bloomberg Law. Be sure to pick up some raffle tickets from the tables; prizes include free print credit, movie tickets, assigned study carrels, and more! We will also have a special snackless Halloween Happy Hour from 3:30-4:30 with spooky drinks.

Extended Law Library Hours for Finals

Exams are upon us! The Harnish Law Library is now open extended hours through Thursday, Dec. 17. During the next two weeks we will be open most nights until 2 a.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays we will be open until midnight. Summer Access to Lexis Advance

Wondering if you’ll have access to Lexis Advance over the summer? The LexisNexis 2015 Summer Access program provides law students with unlimited access to Lexis Advance for academic, professional, and non-profit research. No registration is necessary. Here’s more information from LexisNexis about summer access:

Your law school ID will remain active all summer for the above purposes. Summer access is available from the date spring classes end through the date fall classes begin. Normal law school terms of service apply outside of these dates. May graduates will have extended access through the end of the year.

Also check out the LexisNexis Think Like A Lawyer Program, which provides research workshops and certifications for law students.

Get Ready for Fuel for Finals!

Final exams are just around the corner…which also means that it’s time for Fuel for Finals week in the Law Library! We’ve planned a week-long extravaganza of fun events to help get you relaxed and ready for finals.

Here’s the full schedule:

Monday, April 20: Krispy Kreme Kraziness – Grab a Krispy Kreme doughnut in the library starting at 8 am until they are gone!

Tuesday, April 21: Free 10-minute massages from 10 am – 2 pm; sign up at the Public Services Desk

Wednesday, April 22: Free yoga class from 12:30-1:20 pm; sign up at the Public Services desk

Thursday, April 23: More free 10-minute massages from 10 am – 2 pm! Also join us for Full Throttle Happy Hour from 3:30-4:30 pm, featuring energy drinks and brain food.

Friday, April 24: Therapy Dog Day – Come outside near the cafeteria from 12:30-1:30 to pet a therapy dog.
