Straus Institute Memorandum of Understanding Ceremony

Mon, April 24, 2017 | 12:30 pm | School of Law — Pepperdine School of Law is happy to announce that the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution (SIDR) is entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) to collaborate on encouraging the practice and teaching of constructive dispute resolution processes in Saudi Arabia and other predominantly Muslim countries.

The first tangible project of this collaboration will be a Global Dispute Resolution Conference.   The conference will be jointly sponsored and planned.   The conference will be approximately one year from now at a location to be determined. The intention will be to examine the practice of mediation and arbitration from both Muslim and Western perspectives. The goal is to encourage the development and improvement of the practice of these processes around the world.  PMU will be represented at this ceremony by Dr. Mohamed A. Elgeddawy. Straus will be represented at this ceremony by Straus Academic Director Thomas Stipanowich.
