This week’s e-resource spotlight is on CEB OnLaw, an invaluable database containing over 140 full-text CEB California practice guides on multiple legal subjects. Many California attorneys rely on CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar) practice materials. CEB OnLaw is available to current Pepperdine Law students and recent graduates who have passed the California bar exam.
To begin using CEB OnLaw, visit our Online Databases webpage and navigate to the CEB ONLaw link, then enter your Wavenet ID and password. Once you have logged in, you can begin browsing full-text materials by subject under “Available Publications” to the left or search the site by keyword.
After you have found relevant materials, you can print single pages or multiple documents.
Subjects covered in CEB OnLaw include business law, civil litigation, criminal law, employment law, estate planning, evidence, family law, real property, torts, and workers’ compensation. Depending on the subject area, available CEB publications include forms, reporters, jury instructions, procedure and practice manuals, and more. CEB periodically adds new titles to the OnLaw collection.
What’s more, anyone who has passed the California bar exam in the past five years can access CEB OnLaw for free for one year after passing the exam. To get started with your free year of CEB OnLaw as a new attorney, visit http://ceb.com/promotions/ylol.asp to register with your California State Bar number.
