May 12, 2016 — Pepperdine Law alumni Richard Wittbrodt (JD ’88) and Michele Ellison (JD ’14) have co-authored an article, “Applying Lydig to the Requirements for Requesting a Writ of Attachment,” for the April 2016 issue of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine. The article considers of impact of the recent case of first impression, Lydig Construction, Inc. v. Martinez Steel Corporation, in which the appellate court discussed the requirements for obtaining and offsetting or reducing a party’s request for a writ of attachment.
Richard J. Wittbrodt is the managing partner of Gibbs Giden Locher Turner Senet & Wittbrodt LLP. Michele A. Ellison is an associate at Gibbs Giden whose practice focuses on commercial and construction litigation. Wittbrodt and Kornbtatt represented Lydig Construction in Lydig Construction, inc. v. Martinez Steel Corporation.
