Monday, February 11, 2019 | 12:30pm – 1:30pm | Classroom D — The United States is home to five percent of the world’s population, but 25 percent of the world’s prisoners. Join the National Lawyer’s Guild as we kick start our 2nd Annual Students Against Mass Incarceration Week. It will be a workshop led by members of the Black Law Students Association, with the intention of familiarizing students with the epidemic of mass incarceration, tracing the history of all major prison booms, the 13th Amendment, the War on Drugs, and the birth of the Prison Industrial Complex. Open to all Pepperdine students, including undergraduate students and students from the other grad schools.
Free lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
